2. Cancellation by Customer

Outstation Bookings

  • More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund (100%)
  • 12-24 hours before pickup: 75% refund
  • 6-12 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 6 hours before pickup: No refund
  • No-show: No refund

Local City Rides

  • More than 2 hours before pickup: Full refund (100%)
  • 1-2 hours before pickup: 75% refund
  • 30 minutes to 1 hour before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 minutes before pickup: No refund
  • No-show: No refund

Airport Transfers

  • More than 6 hours before pickup: Full refund (100%)
  • 3-6 hours before pickup: 75% refund
  • 1-3 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 1 hour before pickup: No refund
  • No-show: No refund

3. Cancellation by Sharma Taxi Services

If we need to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide:

  • Full refund (100%) if cancelled more than 6 hours before pickup
  • Alternative transportation arrangements when possible
  • Priority booking for future travel
  • Compensation for any additional expenses incurred (case by case)

4. Refund Processing

Processing Time

  • Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days
  • Bank transfers may take additional 2-3 business days
  • Credit card refunds may appear on your statement within 1-2 billing cycles
  • UPI and digital wallet refunds are usually instant

Refund Methods

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original booking. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative refund method.

5. Special Circumstances

Medical Emergencies

In case of medical emergencies, we may consider full refunds even for late cancellations. Please provide appropriate medical documentation for verification.

Natural Disasters and Force Majeure

Full refunds will be provided in cases of natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, or other force majeure events that prevent travel.

Technical Issues

If booking issues occur due to technical problems on our platform, full refunds will be provided regardless of the cancellation timing.

6. Partial Refunds and Adjustments

In some cases, partial refunds may be applicable:

  • Service modifications (route changes, vehicle upgrades/downgrades)
  • Additional services not utilized (waiting time, extra stops)
  • Promotional discounts or coupons applied to the booking
  • Third-party charges (tolls, parking) that were not incurred

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

  • Processing fees and administrative charges
  • Third-party service fees (payment gateway charges)
  • Insurance premiums (if purchased separately)
  • Airport parking fees or terminal charges
  • Any applicable taxes and service charges

8. Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact our customer support team within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time
  2. Provide your booking reference number and reason for cancellation
  3. Submit any required documentation (medical certificates, etc.)
  4. Our team will review your request and respond within 24 hours
  5. Approved refunds will be processed according to the timelines mentioned above

9. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our management team. We will review the case and provide a final decision within 7 business days. All decisions are made in accordance with this Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.

10. Changes to Refund Policy

Sharma Taxi Services reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. We will notify customers of significant changes via email or through our platform.
